A Little About Me. As the artist cliché goes, I've been drawing, painting, sculpting, and creating art all of my life. I take great pleasure in my artwork and have found it is something I can easily throw myself into. Painting also allows me to get lost in the craft, alleviating stress and harnessing emotions. As a child, I began with stick figures and finger paints, and have since graduated to what is displayed on this website. However, there are times I still use my fingers when creating a piece; I suppose I have mastered that craft. I graduated with a BA in Fine Arts with an emphasis in graphic design. So, while I do portraits and paintings, I also do design work. From this brief "bio" I hope you have a greater understanding of my work, and me, and I sincerely hope you enjoy the art!
My Style. I have always found clean, simple beauty in the contrast of Black and White. Individually, they may seem lifeless, but together can create masterpieces. I have let this combination guide my work for some time. I mainly work with two colors Black and Silver on a White canvas, using the white as my negative space. I have also used this same "style" on this web page; simple, clean, and sharp. Recently, I have been experimenting while audaciously adding a third color, Red. Red is my favorite color due to its ability to standout. By adding red to simple colors such as Black, Silver, and White, it becomes even more distinct. A small, Red dot on poster-sized White canvas can draw all of your attention. You can see how Red makes it’s debut in some pieces in my gallery.
Clients. I have been commissioned to do a vast array of pieces; ranging from wedding invitations and baby pictures, to color filled portraits of musicians and elephants. I am always looking for new challenges and opportunities to expand my portfolio and skills.
